Ekene, also known as thatcrochetguy, is an artist and electrical engineer who discovered the art of crochet in 2017, initially as a way to fight depression. Since then, he has founded his own business to share his art and creations with the world.
After witnessing how crochet art was underestimated, undervalued, and disregarded, Ekene took it upon himself to break the stereotype surrounding the quality and durability of crochet products through his innovative designs, which stem from his background in art and engineering.
The core value of thatcrochetguy is to break stereotypes surrounding crochet, as well as mental and physical health, by expressing himself through his creations.
