MINUIT METAL
Julie Williston, a graduate of the École de joaillerie de Montréal in May 2020, is the founder of Minuit Metal. Hailing from New Brunswick, she draws inspiration from the landscapes of her childhood, including the cliffs of the Bay of Fundy and the waves passing beneath the Confederation Bridge. Inspired by the way light hits the curves and facets of metal, her jewelry is designed by exploring volume and texture. Julie Williston narrates the human experience with a certain ambiguity to allow each individual to find themselves in a piece of jewelry.
Environment and sustainability are significant aspects for the company. All surplus metals and dust are collected and recycled, and ethically sourced gemstones are preferred. By crafting handmade jewelry from solid precious metals, Minuit Metal ensures that the pieces are highly durable and easily recyclable or transformable if needed.
